Melanie Joe

Mel is our amazing lead Project Manager on the team. Giving hours and hours of her own free time to coordinate the first River Thames SUP Source to Sea Relay, becoming a ninja superwomen along the way!  Her passion and dedication to the health of our Thames, SUP and our local communities, has turned this source to sea event into something pretty special for our River Thames and London.

Paul Hyman

Paul is on the Project Team for the Source to Sea Relay, as well as being the Director of Active360, the leading paddle board operator in London. Paul has an extensive history and working knowledge of the River Thames and stand up paddle boarding. He is passionate about engaging people in water sports and eliminating plastic waste in our waterways. 

 

Severine   

Severine Vasselin

Severine is on the Project Team for the Source to Sea Relay, and is the founder of Watertrek, an organisation invested in protecting aquatic environments. Watertrek raises awareness of the need to preserve our waterways and oceans using different mediums including films, educational programs, eco-expeditions, development of key partnerships and SUP. Severine has been key in organising river and ocean cleans across France and London.

Michelle Ellison

Michelle is on the Project Team for the Source to Sea Relay, following her adventure with Mel in the summer of 2015. Mel and Michelle set about to stand up paddle board the length of the River Thames over 11 days and 206 miles from source to sea. It was a journey with purpose, encompassing expedition planning, citizen science and adventure. Their passion for the river has led them to return again this year, taking upon the challenge to create the SUP Thames Source to Sea River Relay.

Lucy Abrahams

Lucy, our Social Media Guru and also 1/5th of the SUPness Monsters.  One of the five ladies who with Mel and Michelle paddle boarded from Inverness to Fort William, sea to sea along with Ged and Charlotte in May 2016 for an epic SUP journey.

Ben Arthur

Ben, our SUPport crew not only in 2015 for Mel and Michelle, but again in 2016 for the Source to Sea Relay. One of the coolest, kindest people we know and just so happens to be the first person to have paddle boarded the River Severn. Did we mention he is also talented behind a camera, which we hope we'll get to show you. A man of many talents.

Simon Arthur + Poppy

Simon, father of Ben and Poppy the coolest one eyed dog you'll ever meet, was also SUPport crew not only in 2015 for Mel and Michelle along with Ben, but is our SUPport crew again in 2016 for the Source to Sea Relay.  Simon is the biggest support in ensuring the 1st September goes super smoothly, sorting camping to cycling and getting the first team on the water.

Rob Crookall

Rob, our Big Ben Race Coordinator. There are many epic SUP races around the world set in stunning locations. But paddling through central London infront of the magnificent Big Ben has to be one of the most iconic SUP races ever!  We are excited that Rob is on the team to bring this event to London and the SUP world.
