ATBShop

ATBShop are the UK's longest running board sport specialists. From concrete to water and snow they have it covered from their base in Swindon.  ATBShop had been out paddling on the river Thames and spotted other paddlers that use the waterway who would'nt often come in to contact with other paddlers. So to help people meet up and to let new riders try out Paddle Boarding they decided to start a Summer SUP club over the holidays on the River through the lovely Oxfordshire countryside.

Big Ben London SUP Race

There are many epic SUP races around the world set in stunning locations. But paddling through central London infront of the magnificent Big Ben has to be one of the most iconic SUP races ever! Until now paddling on the Thames in central London has been forbidden. However after years of talks with the Port of London Authority permission has finally been granted for a restricted number of paddlers to race through the heart of London on the 24th September 2016. A big day for SUP in the city. But hopefully just the start of an even bigger race scene in London in the future.  Entry has closed.  Rob Crookall, Big Ben SUP Race Coordinator.

Pure Yoga Zone

We offer SUP Yoga Classes in London and Windsor.

SUP Yoga classes are traditional yoga classes taught on the water on floating boards (SUP= Stand-Up Paddleboards). The boards are wide and sturdy – and larger than your yoga mat! Join us at our open air studio where we work with all the elements, sun, wind, water and occasionally even the rain. You’ll enhance your practice and the overall yoga experience by learning to adapt to the motion of the board, the continuous challenge to balance and the unpredictable instability sometimes created by external energy (wake) or the shifting of body weight. Your single point of focus becomes more clear on the board and you will maximise your core stability throughout the class. A true yoga flow, the classes will challenge and energise before ending with a relaxing moving meditation utilising the gentle rocking of the water.

Classes run regularly starting from April to October operating out of Paddington Basin in London and in the heart of Windsor in Berkshire. We also occasionally run special classes in Kew Bridge, Putney, St Katharine’s Dock, Osterley Park and Islington Boat Club. We can also arrange special sessions for small groups like hen do’s and birthday celebrations.

If you’re looking for something a bit special then join us on our bi-annual SUP and SUP Yoga retreats in Sardinia. It’s a beautiful island for paddling and an unforgettable SUP Yoga experience.

Ysgol Y deri - The Surf Experience

Ysgol Y Deri is an SEN school based in Penarth, Cardiff. As part of their interventions department The Surf Experience is responsible for giving young people with disabilities the chance to experience the great outdoors. It does this through stand up paddle boarding, surfing and Flow Rider (indoor surfing). The improvements we have seen in our pupils both physically and mentally because of this opportunity are incredibly. We go surfing and SUPing every week and always have a great time whatever the weather.
